Warranty

When purchasing UNIO parts, you can be confident that you are receiving a new, high-quality product that has successfully passed all necessary tests and inspections in specialized laboratories and holds the relevant certificates.

Warranty Terms:

1. The product functionality warranty is provided on the condition that the buyer complies with the operating rules during the warranty period, starting from the date of sale as confirmed by the buyer's payment receipt or the service order for the purchase and installation of the goods at a service station.

2. The standard warranty period for the main range of UNIO brand spare parts is 12 months or 30,000 km of mileage*, whichever comes first, from the date of purchase.

    The following product groups qualify for an extended warranty of 24 months or 60,000 km of mileage* from the date of purchase:

    • Timing belt kits
    • Cooling radiators
    • Heater and air conditioning radiators
    Windshield wiper blades and their kits are provided with a warranty of 6 months.

    * Depending on which occurs first. It should also be remembered that the warranty support period cannot exceed the vehicle manufacturer's scheduled replacement interval for the corresponding spare part.

3. Warranty support is provided provided that:

    • The user has complied with the requirements and rules for storage, operation, and maintenance of the vehicle as outlined in the owner's manual and service book.
    • The user has not subjected the product to mechanical impacts causing changes to its geometry, appearance, dimensions, integrity, or markings.
    • There are no signs of the product being opened or repaired.
    • The identified defects were not caused by natural wear and tear or the use of the Product in any kind of sports competitions.
    • The product was installed in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's technical documentation, and paired positions on the same axle of the vehicle were replaced simultaneously.
    • The Product was installed on a vehicle that matches the current UNIO catalogs and cross-references (correct selection).
    • The product failure was not caused, wholly or partially, directly or indirectly, by malfunctions (defects) in other components and systems of the vehicle.
    • The product was not used on vehicles with modified (tuned) specifications compared to standard ones.

4. The user has the right to file a claim with the parts supplier upon discovering a product defect during the warranty period in the following cases:

    • Discovery of a product malfunction.
    • Discovery of incomplete supplied product.
    • Discovery of non-conformity of packaging and labeling.

5. If defects are discovered in the product during the warranty period, the user should:

    • Cease using the product.
    • Document the date, main signs of the malfunction, and the conditions under which it appeared by filling out a free-form request.
    • Return the product to the store (retail outlet) with its packaging (or without), a copy of the buyer's request indicating the reason for return, and provide the receipt issued by that organization to confirm the date of purchase and the cost of the product.

6. The user must remember the requirements for the returned (faulty) product:

    • The product must be marked by the UNIO manufacturer.
    • The product must not have external mechanical damage.
    • The product must be complete.

7. If defects are discovered in the product during the warranty period, the user has the right to demand a refund of the amount paid for the product or its replacement with an analogous UNIO product.

8. It is recommended to install products at a certified service center. If the Product was installed independently, UNIO reserves the right to request additional documents/information to determine the correctness of the installation process.

9. If a manufacturing defect is found in consumable elements, the user also has the right to file a claim with the retail organization or directly with UNIO as part of warranty obligations, providing evidence that the detected defect is exclusively manufacturing in nature and could not be related to the period of its operation or storage.

Note: Consumable elements include parts and components that have a limited service life and are subject to regular replacement during vehicle operation. They are susceptible to natural wear and require periodic replacement to maintain vehicle performance.

10. WEX Industries LLC does not undertake obligations to compensate for the cost of delivering the vehicle to the repair location.


If a retail organization unjustifiably refuses to accept a product claimed as defective, please send a letter to techsupport@wexauto.com containing: the name of the defective product, the reason for return, the date of purchase, the address and phone number of the retail point, the full name and TIN of the seller who refused to accept the product, a photo of the UNIO marking with the article number, and a photo of the cash receipt.
